I scored a Colt 20" H barrel with barrel nut assembly, barrel extension , handguards and FSP , and a Colt 16" carbine flat top upper H barrel with Colt carry handle , minus bolt and CH both for $375 locally , Coundnt pass it up , I wanted the 20" setup but got a damn good deal buying both , I think Im going to pass the 16" on to a friend thats been looking for one

I'm new to the AR family and figured since I don't have the cash to buy out right a lower for now is best.

That said is this a good lower to buy for a starter?

Yes, that is a very good, well made lower. PSA makes a quality product, and that's what I'm using on my build.

I have 3 spikes and 2 PSA lowers, the quality of work on them are nearly identical

Check your LGS first tho... I got a place by me in NY that carries RRA lowers for 129.99... Since most places charge 35 bucks around her for the transfer it doesn't pay for me to get one online...

Good suggestion. My FFL is a neighbor and only charges me $20.00 but I will check my LGS first.
