Ammo can of 840rds M196 55gr red-tip Lake City 5.56 tracers at CTD- $239+s&h. Sounds like a pretty great deal.

Note that these are 25 years old. But going off the feedback you can probably expect highly reliable bang, and hope for 90+% tracing. I'll order a batch.

This is said to be the best mil-spec LPK out there. Maybe that's true. I'm a big fan of DD products, but would be far more concerned with my upper parts wearing that label.

I have one DD rifle and then an extra DD LPK (that I paid $90 for) sitting around for a future build. But in all honesty I'm not sure there's much to be gained over a PSA kit. I think the PSA LPKs w/ Magpul stocks are a pretty tough deal to beat. I have one of those on my favorite rifle. Yes, more favored than the DD.

My two cents: I have a PSA lpk with moe and it's hasn't done me wrong. Have a good trigger response. The only problem I had was the mag catch. Installing it got a hair line fracture. But it could of been my fault. It was my first build. But PSA replaced it at no charge. It works just fine

No upper yet, but I got a good deal on a Noveske lower, didn't want to embarrass it with a stock trigger. Ordered the DD lpk for $ 79. Don't know what the upper will be yet. I kinda want the Vltor Vis "12 but it's pretty expensive. Maybe a DD barrel???

Mine is also, but it's still in stock. I'll be so glad when I get the 'item has been shipped' email.
