Ok, that makes a bit more sense. Looks like a great bcg and a nice barrel. Better build than most in that price range.

I'm not sure about the laws in Cali...

Here in NY the 2 big things for an upper to be legal at as follows.

No bayonet lug... Whatsoever on a semi auto..

No flash hiders... Or threaded barrels.. However a threaded barrel is allowed as long as there is a muzzle brake pin welded onto it... Basically so it can't readily accept a flash suppressor since they are so "evil".

I bought a DD upper from aim surplus a while back.. Had to send it to mass to a gunsmith to get the muzzle brake pin and welded.. No gun store here in nys wanted to touch it.. No clue y..

50 bucks for shipping back and forth, 20 bucks for the brake and another 20 to put it on..

90 bucks that takes a great deal to something not to be bothered with..

The DD lower only cost me 700 I think so that still was worth it all said and done.. When I go to the range and people ask the brand they are like " whoa, that's a sick upper and a great company, where can I get one"...

Most ranges ban all steel bullets due to risk of ricochets. However an FMJ bullet in a steel case is no riskier than FMJ in brass cases.

Are you referring to a rule against steel case or country of origin?

Can you shoot PMC (made in S. Korea)?

Can you shoot Aguilla (made in Mexico)?

Steel is actually easier to clean up, drag a construction site magnet around and collect the empties.

Just curious. Glad I don't have to shoot there.

I just remember seeing a sign saying " no Russian ammunition". It had more into it. I'll take a pic next time I go.

I shot pmc. N they didn't say nothing. Unless like u said just steel casings

Most Russian ammo bullets are bi-metal.. They contain a bit of steel and are actually magnetic..

Like the other guy said, they have a better chance of ricochet but also can penetrate the back stop more than a norm full metal jacket..

My local range doesn't let me shoot any FMJ at all!!!
