If your gunna turn it into the police (i would assume for free or a amount that isn't close to the value of the gun) I think u would be better off putting it in a box an bury it in your back yard...

Assuming it's a full auto antique "Tommygun"? if you didn't follow all the rules, you need to tread VERY lightly now when you go to sell it, and I would do what you can to go back and get the correct tax stamps you need to actually own it.
If it's a newer copy semi-auto only, then you can sell it anywhere you want to. --a buddy of mine bought one in 2002. semi-auto, .45 Thompson carbine that looked and functioned exactly like the old tommyguns. I don't know what the actual model name of it was, if they still call them the same as the old full-auto guns or if they have a new name...we all just called it a tommy gun
