DD v3 or v5?
 

Is there any difference in the DD v3 and v5 other than the option of sight placement, etc. And the v3 has permanent sights?

Go with the V5. The extra rail space is almost always a good idea. Plus I personally don't like having a FSB, I prefer a flip up.

Good advice from Fred as you get a more flexible rifle but I did go the other way because I was 100% sure I wanted a basic LW fighting rifle with fixed A2 FSB and MOE handguards. Depends on what you want. If you change your mind later you'll have to remove the FSB from the V3 or shave it down.

Id go w/ the V5LW

LW is nice as you'll notice by the amount of guys going that route.
