DD lpk, this isn't right
So I got my DD lpk awhile ago and decided I may as well put it together today when I noticed this...
It's the detent spring, does anyone think it's still usable or should I contact DD and have it replaced?

In an emergency you could get it to work but I'd get a new one installed as soon as you can. DD should mail you one quick.

It should work fine. I've seen some folks put a small kink in them to keep them from launching out if the hole. Once it's in there it will function fine.

It will work, but why risk it? DD is a quality company, if you show them the same pictures, I would be knocked-dead-shocked if they didn't make things right.

Is it an optical delusion or is the pistol grip melted?

Okay, so I couldn't wait any longer, used the bent detent spring on the front takedown pin. My first build, went together pretty easy using all the wrong tools. I did have a set of punches and a finishing hammer. Used sticky notes so I wouldn't scratch the reciever. For a vise I used a mag and my knees... Won't let me upload pics right now, I will later.

Thanks, I plan to get the Noveske basic light recce upper, I can always add free float rails later. I like the idea of irons to start with, just want a solid high quality foundation.
