Gunsmiths over here report problems with the Sig. FTF and breakage issues. Sigs make great handguns, but their rifles not so much. Look at HK, they make the best AR platform on the planet. HK MR in either .223 or .308. One gunsmith told me, why settle for a Sig when you can have an HK (in regards to rifles). My next purchase will be an HK MR .308. I rather wait a little longer to save up for an HK, then settle for the Sig Patrol.

And modern DI rifles are very good.

I like botht rhe DD and the 516 a lot.
But if focred to choose i would choose the 516.

theya re almsot identical in many ways except for DI vs piston.
I can weight both rifles if you like when I get back home next weekend
My 16" DDM4V3 LW weighs 6.3 lbs stripped of the sling, magazine and optic. Includes midlength MOE, A2 FSB and MBUS2 sights, H buffer, BCM Gunfighter charging handle and M4 stock. Very light rifle! It would be hard to get a piston AR within 1/2 lb of that.
The biggest issue with assembling an AR isn't so much getting the parts together right - it's getting the right parts together.

Thats true. the 516 is 7.6 lbs.
My DDM4V5 is a mid lenght with an M4 cut currently has my EOtech on it and 2 flip ups.

Primary Rifle:
BCM 16 inch, LW barrel w/ EOtech 512.

Well guys I actually ended up purchasing a dd v7 and I love it. Glad I went with Daniel defense, I couldn't ask for much more. And the fact that they are based in my home state is even better.
