Default Is this common?

Today, I bought a Stag Arms Model 3T-M, and it came with two mags: one aluminum Stag mag, and a polymer Pro Mag magazine. The Stag mag fits perfect but the Pro Mag magazine won't click into place. The magazine is empty. It will slide in fine but won't lock in place. Does this sound common or does it seem like a problem with the gun?

Thanks in advance!

I can't say for sure - for sure, but it does sound a bit odd.

I'm hoping it's just that the polymer mag's design is slightly different than the aluminum Stag design.

Promag mags aren't exactly top notch. More than likely, it's a bad magazine. The reviews for promags are generally negative.

Try using Magpul PMAG.. to me it's the standard mag for AR15. If your lower has problem with PMAG, then the lower def is a problem.

I would consider that good news rather than it be something in the gun. Warranties are good, but I just hate having something that needs warranty work, seems it is always a problematic child from the get-go.

Promags are junk. Surprised it went into the magwell at all.

Promag makes a couple of good products. Their Saiga 12 ga mags work. Their AK mags work. Their AR 9mm mags work. Most of their other products are third rate. For an AR in 5.56 mm I use NOTHING but GI mags. Enhanced followers and good springs from Wolf, Specialized Armament Warehouse or Sprinco and the will last several lifetimes

Definitely try a pmag! If your rifle can't use that then your rifle is definitely messed up haha. I'm pretty sure it's the promag's fault though.
