I'm thinking about buying a Colt le6920mp-fde. Looking for some input from all you Colt veterans. Thanks for your help!!

The 6920 is an excellent choice if you need a quality semiauto version of the M4. The only reason I never got one was I wanted midlength gas with the 16" barrel so went to BCM, Daniel Defense and PSA.

The biggest issue with assembling an AR isn't so much getting the parts together right - it's getting the right parts together. You'll remember the quality of a gun long after you forget how much you paid for it.

Read the AR Primer sticky, it should be already typed up there. Briefly it's the gas system length, midlength is about 2" longer than carbine length and is ideal for a 16" barrel.
