That's what the thread is about. I ordered and received a BCM complete bolt carrier group and I got 3 new gas rings to replace the burned/broken one's. I assembled that bolt so now I have a spare SA BCG.

Incidentally, the bolt was spotless when I cleaned the gun the night before. I atucally used Slick 50 now that I think of it. Perhaps that crud is just carbon build up from blow by, since the gas rings were compromised. Dunno. That picture was taken after I had dunked it in cleaner.....and sprayed it off with GunScrub.

I will try some 30W JonM, thanks.

Thanks for clearing that up Gang on the BCG. Now go and have some fun. I use Synthetic Motor Oil on all my Guns/Rifles and it keeps away rust also. Much better lubrication than plain gun oil, and stays on parts longer.

That's interesting. You guys use motor oil and I've read that before also.

Is it really much better than a product like Break Free or just as good? Well, if so that is a good thing because it is infinitely cheaper.
