Default Bushy carbon 15 ammo?

Hello. I just got a bushmaster carbon 15 and want to know if anyone has any suggestions on best type of ammo for the rifle? Primary use will be stopping pigs in central Texas.

Any other info will be appreciated.

Is it a .223 or 5.56? What's the barrel twist?

You can browse here The Hunting Shack, Inc. - 223 Rem. / 5.56x45mm

But barrel twist will determine the round you ultimately choose.

Is it a Type 97? I'd guess 1:9 twist.

Quote:
For normal lead-core jacketed bullets, a 1:9" twist will let you shoot up to 73gr bullets. Since most .223 Rem shooters prefer bullets in the 50-73gr range, a good "do-it-all" solution is a 9-twist, unless you're a Highpower competitor.

Here you go! HSM 223 Rem 60 gr. V-Max
There may be better rounds out there, but this is what I would shoot. Kinda light for pigs, IMO.
