Bushmaster Dissipator
 

In the midst of my recent AR woes I have been presentd with the opportunity to purchase a Bushmaster Dissipator (a2 config) for around $700. (price is not set in stone) Everything looks great and there a few extras.

Is there anything I should be aware of before dropping the cash and making this my new project gun and interim SHTF AR while my beloved custom AR gets a new barrel?

I'm thinking some rifle length rails and new stock are coming. A new sight and bi-pod have been ordered.

if it was me... i'ed leave her [as is] .

shes an A2 , and she's already set up perfect for a IDF clone' or a SHTF , K.S.S. rifle.
only thing i might do is add a BCM M16AUTO carrier'and a H2 buffer,
slow down the carbean action a wee bits, and shoot good ammo, and LOTS of it.:)

but saying that, i still thinks a ''rifle'' is the way to go, a 20'' M16A1. :)

I think I'm gonna leave almost "as is" for the moment. I may do some sight painting. For some reason the front post is VERY glossy and gets lost easily in day time. She's gonna get shot tomorrow (hopefully).

The only mods on the horizon are drilling of a couple holes in the handguards to mount some picatinny rails for a flashlight.

Couldn't you see a OD greed set of furniture and a triangular fore-end? ;)
