I bought one a couple months ago. It runs great! The barrel heats up pretty quickly but not that much of a concern. Sure i have a list of xtras to shop for(which i check out all the time) but haven't spent any $ on anything but ammo. My recommendation? CHOOT IT! Then you will realize what your wants and needs are. I bet the order of priority changes once you get used to the rifle. ....unless you have a stack of $ and can just go out and buy every accessory you can think of

I have to agree. Get out and shoot it for a bit. How do you know what you want to modify before you know how it handles in the first place? You may decide that it is everything you want in a gun and more, or you may feel that there are many things you want to change. There is no way to know until you put it through its paces. Please come back with a range report and some awesome pics!!!

Like some others said, shoot it first. Zero the red dot and get to know the piece. As I mentioned in another thread, I had two Carbon 15's and they performed right out of the box. Both put quarter sized groups down range soon as they were zero'd. The recent panic was the only reason I sold them. Made a nice chunk of change. Performance was absolutely NOT a problem, Both were great shooters.

I would concentrate on sights first. Did it come with sights? Decide if you want iron sights or an optic. Next would would be the forward grip. Do you like it the way it is now or do you want a vertical or angled front grip? Shooting it may answer some of these questions for you too.

Bad analogy? You bought a car with the intent of racing it. Why would you buy a Carbon 15 with the intent of turning it into a "race gun". You bought the car and KNEW what you wanted to do to it and with it. If you have no idea what mods to make, you should not be doing mods til you have some miles on it (track miles, road miles or range "miles")
