bushmaster A3 16" m4

New to Ar-15 world so be gentle with me. Have wanted Ar-15 but not wanting to pay big bucks. Received phone call walmart had one. Out the door with tax 1025.13. Plan for this gun will be plinking, wild hogs and self defense. Local gunsmith here knows ar-15 pretty well - he is going to smooth and polish internals for me. He did a savage axis for me that came out great. So now I am in the black rifle game

I wouldn't waste the money to have a gunsmith do that. Could void your warranty so go shoot it first. Make sure it is 100% first. A couple hundred rounds will smooth it out.

Bushmaster is considered an average comspec AR.

As Quentin said, don't do it, it's a waste of money and time. It's not a high speed performance motor, it's an entry level AR. Just keep her cleaned and lubed and she will do her job. Spend that money on upgrading the trigger.
