Default Burnt Bronze Carbine Build

Ok. Here are the details on my latest build I am calling the Burnt Bronze Lightweight Carbine. This was my first experience with applying Cerakote. I sand blasted the upper/lower receiver, hand guard and CTR stock and sprayed them with Burnt Bronze Cerakote (The heat cured version)

Lower....
*Palmetto State Multi Cal. Lower
*ALG ACT Trigger
*Seekins Precision Mag Release Button
*Norgon Ambi Catch magazine release
*Magpul MOE grip
*Magpul CTR Stock
*Noveske QD end plate

Upper....
*Started with a stripped receiver
*Spikes Tactical CHF 5.56 1/7 twist chrome lined 14.5" optimum profile barrel w/ mid-length gas port
*Spikes Tactical Dynacomp - Pinned
*Troy Industries low profile gas block
*WMD Nitromet Mid-length gas tube
*10.25 Diamondhead VRS T free float hand guard
*Rubber City Armory Nitride coated BCG
*Fortis mfg. HAMMER charging handle
*Troy Industries folding Di-Optic Aperture Tritium Battle Sight Rear
*Troy Industries front folding Tritium M4 style Battle Sight
*Ergo rail covers

Got to test fire it today and it ran like a champ. Ran 60 rounds through 2 Troy Battle Mags without a hiccup. This rifle weighs in a 6 lbs. 10 oz. empty and 7 lbs. 10 oz. with a loaded 30 round mag. I can't believe how smooth it shoots with the mid length gas system. virtually zero muzzle climb. This is one of my favorite builds.

Thank you thank you! I love building! I pre-ordered an NEA Compact Carbine Stock for this one but didn't want to wait for it to come in to finish the build. Already had a flat dark earth CTR stock so I coated it. It turned out way better than I anticipated. image-2680368934.png We will see what I will do when this one dies come in..... If it does still go on this gun it will be getting coated as well.

Yours is better but mine is a similar color. Called 'matte sand', anodized not coated.

Thank you! I have seen the matte sand from RGuns. What I can't figure out is why they can't get their anodizing colors to match on the mate sand. I briefly had a build with their green anodized parts.

It took them about 5-6 months to get the upper to me. I would probably have kept it if their name and roll mark were not on the lower. I do not need a reminder of the company every time I look at it, so I sold it. I can say though, that wile it looked really nice the color anodizing scratches a whole lot easier than the black anodizing. Hope you enjoy your rifle. I like the RGuns RGQ hand guard that was on my green one. While I will never order another upper from the, I may at some point order am RGQ hand guard for a future build. I'd just go with the black as I will sandblast and Cerakote it.

Love the color to the max! I'm not done with my first one yet and looking to start my second, the color I am obsessed with wow I want. Did you start Ina gun part you didn't like first? I'm so nervous to spray, will prepping by sand blasting with aluminum oxide work, I've got that at work.
