Yes must be shipped to a FFL. The lower is the "gun" it is the only part that has a serial#

Yeah and they charge for the transfer. The average fee I've seen is $25. Plus tax on the lower receiver.

Yeah but there are a lot of things online that aren't readily available in person. I don't know about your local gun store but mine does special orders without charge.

Good luck and post pics when it's done.

Like Purehavoc said, if you see a great PSA sale on something you're going to need later, then you'd better jump on it now. I've missed out on their deals and really kicked myself later when I needed it. On the other hand, I've never been sorry I jumped on a deal if I knew I could use the item later.

As far as stripped lowers, it's a good idea to call around locally. You never know what someone may have in stock. You avoid the transfer fee and can buy it now.

The biggest issue with assembling an AR isn't so much getting the parts together right - it's getting the right parts together. You'll remember the quality of a gun long after you forget how much you paid for it.

Yes , And they charge what ever they want for the transfer from $5 to $40 is what I have seen from different FFLs. $20-$25 is fair , My guy charges me $5 but I buy ALOT of stuff from him.
Any other item can be shipped directly to your door except the serial numbered lower

Buddy , I think we have all been there at one time or another . I wanted a Calico Jack lower from spikes they had them for $119 and I got the email about 9 pm one evening . Instead of ordering it I waited til morning , Guess what sold out and I have yet to find another for that price and thats been almost 2 years ago.

Another deal I missed back in 1993 full cases of AK 47s " 10 guns per case " for $900 . If I had only known then what I know now , I would have been broke then but very very well off now if I had made that investment . Here's to looking back to the old days

Supply is building, demand is running out of money or interest. Take your time. Bargains have started.
