So the upper is a 16" 1/8 carbine gas 300blk manufactured by State of the Art Arms (sota arms) in bright stainless

Yankee hill machine Upper receiver that was stripped.

Palmetto state armory upper build kit. Had I used foresight I could have been better off just buying the forward assist and dust cover kit. I'm a moron sometimes.

Aluminum alloy gas block lo pro .750. I marred it up getting that dang roll pin in.

Stainless gas tube

Some "tactical someone" free float 10" quad hand guard. It's very sturdy. Not a fan of the rails but hey it looks ok for right now.

And just because I could. A stainless muzzle brake.

Next upper I will be more prepared! All in all it took an hour or so to get the upper together. I took my time to make sure everything was right.

Good experience!

Sitting on my RRA/doublestar lower with the CTR.

I will make it's own lower soon enough. imageuploadedbyfirearms-talk1396113325.820716.jpg

I might suggest on your next build use a steel gas block . I have seen a few failures with alum gas blocks and it can do a hell of a number to a hand guard

I wouldn't sweat it really . I have a upper with a alum gas block because I'm to lazy to change it and its fine . Just worth the few extra $$$ when building one

Ok thanks for the heads up. Maybe the low pressure of the round will be ok then.
