...and it was certainly worth stopping in. I had several observers at the range ask where I got the 22" barrel. It is stamped JS but I was not sure if they made there own?

Turns out they ordered mine from a company called Black Hole out of Moses Lake WA. good to know cause it's a shooter!

I would guess so. I bought the upper complete with a Houge free float forend from JS

According to thier site, Black Hole Weaponry stamps thier barrels near the barrel nut so I can't see thier stamp unless I remove the forend which is not likely to happen.

JS told me it was from Black Hole and it is a 22" SS barrel that has consistently cut .5 MOA with factory 55 grain .556
