Brass Shavings in Bolt Assembly?

2 Attachment(s)
Not much else to say other than the title...I was cleaning my Rifle today after putting about 200 rounds through it, and noticed brass shavings inside the bolt assembly. I took pictures of both places that I found them...just not sure if this is to be expected? (Never seen it before...)

If not...what are the possible culprits? I have not had any misfeeds since changing back to Colt specific magazines (I had jam after jam while using MagPro 42 round mags a week or so ago)

Normal. That is why you need to remove the extractor for routine cleaning.

Like Robo said, very normal.

I'm just unclear as to the meaning of routine cleaning. Is that every 1k or every 2k rounds, lol.

The brass shavings are way softer than that steel used in your bolt, it isn't going to do it any harm. ;)
