Having trouble deciding between LMT, La Rue, CMT or Young Mfg.
This is going to be a SHTF weapon and I've heard nothing but good things about Young Mfg. except that the tolerances are tight to the point of less than reliable function in adverse conditions.
Cost isn't much of an issue as long as it is towards quality.

If you want a little extra reliability go with the Nickel Boron (Zero Fail) coated BCG from Spikes.
Both BCM and Spikes BCG’s are top notch and low cost
They both have bolts made from carpenter #158 steel that is shot peened and properly heat treated, they both use M-16 carriers made from the proper tool steel that is properly heat treated and both have a good forged chrome lined gas key that is attached with grade 8 hardware and properly staked.
For a SHTF gun you don’t want something flashy, you want something reliable.
