Was thinking about a Strikefire for my CMMG .22 upper. Can you do a lower 1/3 co witness with the irons ?

I like my Vortex like wise and have mine on a SWMP.

As to the Vortex strikefire lens caps, I found that in closing the caps, if you push hard on the very center of the cap, it will snap shut and stay shut.

I too got a Strykfire a few months back after the recs I saw on this board. I absolutely love it. I got mine for about 85. It holds zero flawlessly. I have sent hundreds of rounds downfield and have not have to make adjustments. I dont know what people are talking about when they say the doubler is junk. Mine works flawlessly. Just as accurate than without. I can hit the plate at 200 as well. If you put the luminosity of the dot at the lowest setting it doesnt cover the site so bad. It does everything I would ever want to do with this rifle. One day I will get a more high end rifle I will build for precision shooting and splurge on a more expensive scope to reach out further but for now the Vortex is all I need. I dont have any place to shoot past 100 yds close enough anyway.

Yeah on the front one especially I discovered the same thing

Still, I think it's stupid, Vortex clearly knows about this and it should be a simple (slightly larger diameter) fix.........

Well don't let somebody take too much of your money for 'high end'.....the Vortex is an example of not needing to pay for BS you don't need (such as fancy brand names). I can't believe the money people spend (and some still can't shoot for sh*t )

Vortex Strikefire is not a good product for the money. It's a great one!

I've owned a couple and worked them hard with zero complaints. None on my current rifles, only because I prefer the uber-lightweight Vortex Sparc (Aimpoint Micro copy).

I just gave my dad a new BCM midlength build for his 60th BDay...topped off with a Vortex Strikefire. The red/green dot options can also be more accomodating to aging eyes, LOL.

Yes. I have this mount and a 6X magnifier with my strikefire. Sets up a 1/3 cowitness perfectly. Didnt want to buy a mount, but for 24 $, its pretty dang solid. Love mine
