Aimpoints have over 10,000 hours of battery life, some have 30,000. But Aimpoints aren't $60 either. My TRS 25 is supposed to have a few days worth of battery life, but I turn it off when I clear the gun, and change the batteries in electronic sights once a year when I change fire alarm batteries. You don't want a battery to corrode inside your sight.
