Default Best AR15 manufacturer?

I'm sure this topic has been covered, I tried searching but couldn't find it on here..
My question is..

Who manufacturers the best AR15?
I'm looking for something as reliable as possible for an AR.
Yes, I know an AK might be a better option, but that's not what I want. I want an extremely well made AR15.
So who manufacturers some of the best?
(Sig sauer, S&W, etc.?)
Thank you.

There is no " best" AR. The best AR is the one you can afford that will fulfill your needs . Is reliable , will go bang every time you pull the trigger and is as accurate as the shooter . Most will out shoot the guy pulling the trigger. I think a better question would have been what ARs should I stay away from .

Larue would be on my short list. Best is subjective. Best 2-5k Best 5-10k yes they exist. Best Long range, short range, caliber, application. For this forum I would state exactly what you want it to do and price range and go from there.

+1

High dollar: Larue, Les Baer, Wilson Combat
Other options: Bushmaster & DPMS (used to be pretty good but I haven't been in the AR game for a bit)

you could ask 100 people that question and you would probably get at least 50 different answers. what is the best AR manufacterer is pretty subjective IMO. some are so close in quality and performance that it would be a toss-up. and what a prson decides on it's usage could also be very subjective. a persons usage can determine what's better for them. just too broad a question for me to answer, but i think the one i own is the best!

I own several different brands . All of them run flawless and I have any where from $600 to $900 in each of them .most of which I have built . Just because it has a $2500.00 price tag on it doesn't make it better than something else that might have a $1000.00 price tag

Okay, so what I'd be using it for would be just fun at the range and of course a SHTF situation.
I want something that performs well at short to medium range, not too concerned with anything super far distances. But MOST IMPORTANTLY I'm looking for the MOST RELIABLE AR.
So basically my question is...

Who makes the most RELIABLE AR that is geared more towards short to medium range shooting (less than 300 yards)?
And I wouldn't want to spend more than $2000.
Thanks you all for your help!
