What I meant was a parts list of the build and how much each part cost to them. Not just a parts list of a generic AR, I know what parts are used... Does that make sense?

Jpyle what I meant was a parts list of unique builds and the cost of each part broken down... Not just a parts list for a generic AR does that make sense? I know it's a bit tedious but it let's people show off their build! While giving me knowledge of what parts I may be interested in that are sighing my budget.

Jpyle what I meant was to give a full parts list of unique builds. Then show how much each part cost. To let me see what I like and what is in my budget. While also letting people show off their build and explain why they went with those parts.
Thanks for the link it was very informative.

The info below is over a year old but will give you an idea on the cost of individual parts. A lot of changes since then but I don't have them broken out like this, too much work. Sorry no shortcuts here, you've got to burn the midnight oil if you want to do this right.

And here's the parts list for both AR builds: (CTR , scope and Vltor/BCM Gunfighter Model 4 charging handle not added yet)
Also I need to doublecheck my math but it's interesting the ArmaLite and Daniel Defense builds came in at almost the same price. Of course there's lots of duplication.

ArmaLite M15A4 build:

Lower Receiver:
ArmaLite M15 Stripped Lower $120

I'm with the people who say build it. I have not had a chance to build one due to a lack of money, but I do have one basically planed out and I already know what I want. Trust me, no one makes one exactly like what I'm wanting to build (at least not for 1k), AND I can do it for about $1000-$1200
