AR15 build

Hello, this is my first post in this forum and I just finished building an AR15 from alpha shooting sports and they have been extremely helpful in my build. It is my first AR also, I've always been a bolt action or mini 14/30 guy because of the California bullet button. You can also check them out at AR15hardware.com

Does anyone have experience with the nickel boron bcg or upper receiver? Is it worth it?

Got specs?

Sorry it's a 16 inch melonited barrel with a 11 inch Troy trx rail with magpul folding sights. Chrome BCG. The lower is a LAR grizzly.

if you really have a hard time cleaning off your bcg, i can see you wantings a ni bor or chrome bcg, but srsly not worth the extra cost imho. I have a chrome bcg, looks nices but srsly would have rather spent the extra mag for it on extra mags or something.

As for a ni-bor reciever.....its all cosmetic bling. If you like the way it looks, by all means, go for it. You'll find most people will opt to forgo ni-bor coatings anywhere on your AR.

keep the BCG lubed up well with mobil 1 synthetic and carbon buildup wont be a issue ;) NI-bor is flashy yes but really not needed , spend your hard earned money on magazines and ammo . you can never have enough of those . By the way thats a fine looking rifle you got there now go out and have some fun with it and give a range report on it
