Default ar15/ar10 scope and mounts

Hey, I'm new to the forum and looked thru old posts but could not find if this was reviewed before.
Can you use the same mounts and scope when swithed between bushmaster 5.56 and DPMS LR308C.
Shooting 500 yds or less?

*Most* AR type weapons are mil std 1913 Picatinny rail and *most* mounts will interchange.

Edit: You will have a different projectile trajectory between 5.56 and 7.62 however, so if your scope has a bullet drop reticle or mildot you will have to consider this and adjust accordingly.

Technically yes as long as the uppers, assuming a flat top A3 on both, are compatible, either picatinney or weaver. I would suggest a more robust set of rings and scope to handle the .308 recoil. Only other issue would be space under scope to access charging handle and the eye relief if your using a high mag, large objective scope.
