Palmetto State Armory makes a good lower. So does Spikes Tactical, and S&W. (I am talking about stripped lowers, but their complete lowers are probably good too. Look into some reviews for them).

If you are looking for the best,
I highly suggest AXTS
http://axtsweapons.com/products/AX556
Seekins Precision makes a nice one too.

My personal favorite is a Magpul lower, if you can find it.
Maybe consider getting a Colt 901 so you can use that upper on a 7.62x51 based convertible lower.........That'd probably be the ultimate lower.

These days, if you want to hurry up and shoot, go for the plastic lower. Spend some time shopping, learning, saving...and shooting...until you find the lower package (metal) that works for you. Personally, I don't like plastic (aka polymer) lowers. I dislike the idea of having a nice upper and no way to make it go bang even more!!!! Demand for AR goodies is crazy right now, supplies are normal+ ( going or gone) and demand++++++++ is off the charts. Thus, shortages and higher prices. Congrats on your upper. Ride out the wave.

If you are going to buy a lower I personally wouldn't go with a polymer one. Are they OK sure, but if youa re going to buy why not get a decent one Not some idiot magnet $430 lower like posted above. There is ZERO reason for a lower to cost that much as all it does is hold the buffer and the trigger.
Spikes has plenty of stripped lowers for $115.
Shoot here is a stripped lower for $99. http://www.rguns.net/rifles/rifles-semiauto-ar15-lowers-556rguns-stripped.shtml
If you can get a group together to buy in a batch sometimes you can get them as low as $75 or $80.
I ordered 15 one time from my guy and he got them to me for $70 each with just 1 $50 transfer fee. My guy ROCKS and I don't tell anyone who he is.
