I don't know what all the fuss is about. You gotta carry it, you know when it's too heavy. My first M16 was 203! I also carried my ammo(40mm and 223), 40mm flares and smoke, extra barrel for the M60, several hundred rounds for the 60, flak vest, water, poncho, poncho liner, sox, draws, smokes, skid-lid, rations, and extra pair of glasses and my std survey gear. Then there was the extra stuff. Back then, we didn't have lazers, lights or optics. My current AR has the necessary stufroxienow.jpgf. If it don't work, it don't go.

Lightweight sling, and ACOG or Red Dot is all I want on mine.

The flashlights, floodlights, laser lights, Beta-Drums mud flaps and raccoon tails I'll leave to the "Chairborne Rangers."

Ol if u would move outta commiefornia you could have one to . .
I have 2 more lowers pending as we speak. No current plans for them when I get the stamps back, I just wanted to have a couple ready for future builds. The 7.62 upper I'm working on may get butchered for a sbr also in that 12" range as that's what went on the paper work

4 kilos which is 8.8 pounds without iron sights and the Eotech. I also have a foregrip. Still feels light to me though. The HK weighs in at 3.7 kilos, buts does not include sights and longer railing. Sig weighs in at 3.3 kiles minus sights and longer railing too. Mine is made for competition shooting though. Has 1/7 twist on the barrel. It can reach out pretty far with the heavier grain rounds it was designed for.
