I dont have an accurate scale that goes over 8 lbs but it looks like 8 lbs and maybe a couple oz with the sling. The scope is a Bushnell Trophy XLT 1-4x24 30mm tube and weighs 16.2 oz + the caps. The mount is a one piece aluminum with integral 4 screw rings. Brand is not on the outside and I am not taking it off. It is not flimsy. The rifle is a DPMS A4 with the front sight removed and low mount gas block installed. 2k+ rounds mixed military, commercial 223, reloads on military cases and about 60 rounds of Wolf with no failures.

No its a valid question, I haven't weighed my ars in a while. I'll post some numbers when I clean them, prolly this weekend. I do have a sneaky suspicion my pistol weighs the most ......

It's all good... Camouflage and Toe, ain't nothing wrong with that!
I look at the lube in the Miad as additional insurance. Bottle was free from a coworker and it contains about $.25 worth of lube(about 4-5 servings). Or I could've spent $500-1000 more on a proprietary piston upper that has yet to be proven more reliable. Simple economics.
