Range fun goes as well

I don't know what else ar covers about everything
Even big game with a .458 socom upper or a .50 BMG single shot upper.
What can't it do is the question?

Medium and big game hunting depending on the caliber.

The Ar can be made into anything that you need it for. It is one of the most versatile weapons produced. That is if you have the cash

Very True, if you have a lower registered into a pistol then it can be converted to a 7.5" barreled pistol with a piston buffer tube or a rifle also , There really is so many thing you can do with a AR platform that you cant do with any other gun , from 9mm all the way to .458

I have AR's from .22 all the way up to 458. I use them for hunting hogs mostly. Your not just limited to the 5.56 any more. A 6.8 SPCII or a 458 Socom will take just about any north American game animal. The 5.56 is a good closerange deer/hog round. There are lots of other calibers out there, just pick one that fits your needs.

I initially bought an AR thinking I would get into three gun shooting. That hasn't and probably won't happen due to work schedule and family. Aside from that it is an excellent device for therapy. Going BANG! twenty-nine or thirty times at a target does wonders for inducing a grin.
