I agree completely and that's why I'm throwing ideas around on here before I make any kind of purchase. Just checking to see if it really is a good deal or not.

It is not a good deal. It is low quality and as AT eluded to it will be so horribly unbalanced (front heavy) it will hinder maneuverability.

You're best bet, at that budget, is going to be a S&W Sport. Also look at PSA.

Ok so those kits are out and the more I read the more I want to build it on my own. When I got this app I was looking for either a stripped lower and parts kit or complete lower for under 1000$ to start on. So what do you guys recommend

If you're looking sub $1k and wanting to assemble something look at a PSA lower and lower build kit topped w/ one of their complete uppers.

If you want a great sub $1k AR get a Colt 6920 or BCM.
