Ok guys, I am still fairly new to the Ar platform (and all the varieties) and a friend asked me the other day if there is an AR platform rifle in .45 ACP, and if so, are there "kits" available to build one yourself? __________________ Linda

Many pistol caliber uppers are available. Normally they work with standard lowers but you need a special magazine and possibly buffer/action spring.

Linda,Here's another choice.I thought about this one for a long time a couple years ago,but they were having some problems getting the lowers machined with the person that was doing them,and have since changed shops from what I last heard.
I lost interest in the project,but still have it on the back burner.
