My bushmaster AR 15 Chamberd in 5.56 want .223 fun to shoot i'm still trying to figure a better scope platform but this one was unaccounted for in the safe and has, green/red lighted cross hairs so its being put to use for now. Actually a lot of fun.
Willys take the carry handle off and see if those rings are high enough so that the objectives have clearance. W/ that set-up it looks like you'd have to stand on a ladder to see through the scope.

No its really easy to see through. transition shooting is easy I wanted to keep my open sights and I don't want to cut the front sight.. This was the only way to do it with what I had. Do you have a suggestion as to how I can keep them and still have a scope applicable platform? I looked but found nothing.
I will be getting a smaller scope here soon. just what I had in the cabinet.. Its really a good shooter its weird but being able to shoot open then transition to the scope is not that hard and was alot of fun at the range once I get a smaller diameter scope the rings won't need to be so huge. This was definitely a spare parts build.

I don't want to highjack the thread but I have a hard time seeing how you can get a good and repeatable cheek weld. But like you said it's temporary. Start a thread and I bet you'll get a good answer.

I still don't understand the Slide Fire. I'll leave it at that as most of you know how I feel already.
Picked up a select fire (semi, burts, f/a) Colt this weekend. Went w/ a 1-4 magnified optic for now but will probably switch it to the SS 1:8 and put a red dot on the Colt.
