I had to look that up! It looks like that change occurred around 2004. When we deployed we got old DCUs and didn't have time to affix flags. I remember everyone being pissed because we didn't get to wear them. I always kept a "go to war flag" pinned in my PC for just this occasion. I ended up putting it in my front pocket just cause it didn't seem right.

It is a DPMS orical. It is very nice and a smooth shooting gun. The only thing i don't like is that it has a carbine length gas system. But over all it is nice and I like it.

What's the differences in the length of the gas system? Like why is that bad?
