I'm not gonna lie, I taped my gun to give it that military look, I mean the cosmetics of a gun is important too, Right? Hell, I think AR-15's look great when they get scratched up and dirty.

I was referring to this pic.

I put on a set of larger diameter handguards and a new Vulcan arms flash suppressor. Going for the retro XM177 look.

I have posted the bottom one on this thread before but not completed. Now it is done with all its goodies. The top one is an A1 that is my newest rocking one of my dads old Marine corp mags he had when he was in and snuck home in his sea bag. The OG and the Young Buck is what i call them.

Q and Lance, although he is a little far forward of the CH the stock is in his shoulder correctly as taught by the Army after sending a few guys to some classes. They did this so the soldiers could come back and teach the rest of their company. The bottom edge of the stock should rest in the V b/w your shoulder and collar bone. Its supposed to be more stable/secure.

As far as the ACOG it might just be a eye relief thing. Its been a damn long time since Ive used that optic though.

Just added the Stark SE-1 pistol grip. So far so good.

I was never taught to do this in the Army. Having the center line of the buffer completely out of the pocket of the shoulder physically makes no sense. The energy from the recoil is going to be sent over the shoulder making recoil much worse. Bringing the center line down into the shoulder will help control recoil due to having more mass behind the rifle.

The Army has so many instructors that will teach different methods I don't trust what they tell me. I learned 100 times more from the Magpul Tactical Carbine series than I ever learned in my 6 years in the Army. My shooting has improved drastically since dropping the bull**** I was taught. Magpul all the way.

I have never extensively used the ACOG, but I don't think the eye relief is that bad.
