LOL! I know. I was at the range in the morning and got yelled at for having my sling on the rifle. There is a no sling safety rule at the rod and gun club. Afraid someone's sling will push the trigger I guess. I just quickly attached it to the back swivel on the way out so I did not lose it.

You should look into getting a Magpul ASAP or similar single point sling attachment plate. You will have difficulty utilizing your new sling to its full potential where you have it. They are very easy to install, and take about 5 to 10 min to do it.

Do you have a link or something for this product. My LGS can order it for me. We do not have the cool stuff like you guys in the States. AR 15 owners are not a large crowd over here. ARs are expensive over here, but very high quality. HKs, Sigs, Schmeisser and Hera Arms (mine) for example. My complete setup with Eotech and Pro Tuning customizing was around 3000 dollars. Also we have too much paperwork and permissions to own one. Being an American I had a hard time getting permission. I was even flirting with the lady at the gun registration office (German equivalent to the ATF, but no AT) to get special permission. That's right I was whoring myself out. I just found out I am probably the last foreigner who will have the privilege. I have tried to order stuff through mail, but many companies will not send gun stuff to an APO. I have been attaching the sling to the sling attachment on the stock adjustment lever. A bitch to get on and off though.

In the past nobody cared what semi-auto weapon you had, but things changed in recent years. I use to own a Galil, but sold it when I went to the States for a few years. Customs said no, because I did not originally buy the gun in the US . I left my SKS in the US with the parents. I probably will never see it again. I hate the UN and the new Tyranny laws of the US.

I'm not a fan of the Magpul ASAP sling mount but something like this is what I would recommend:

Here's a link for it on Amazon.

http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B002Y2P4FI/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?qid=1381682500&sr=8-2&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70

Not sure why Argyle prefers the HK over Magpul. It seems to me with the HK adapter your sling would get bound up when switching to reaction side shoulder for non dominant hand shooting.
