That's cool scubie. Lets everyone know it's definitely her rifle. Plus you can shoot the crap out of it for cheap with the x39 ammo. AIM has 1260 rounds of brass cased surplus for $199.92 right now.

So it looks like you slid your A2 sight out to midlength position and then put a middy handguard on it. Is that the case? Either way I like it. I'm not a fan of the look of the M203 notch out there in the middle of the exposed part of the barrel. I've been looking into ditching the A2 post all together on mine and running a rifle length free float rail with a rail mounted front sight, but I like the look you've got going on there.

That is the case. I had the NIB MOE in the parts box so I put it to use. I have long arms so its more comfortable. For now until I recieve the set screw FSB the FSB is just sitting there. Its kind of in mock up . The M203 notch isnt high on my must have list but thats how it came. Im not going to be real picky w/ this one considering its a .22. Plus I just purchased the DD so money isnt there for a FF tube to match the ones on my other ARs. Eventually ( for training ) itll be an exact replica of my main AR.

I think it really looks good. Now you just need to duracoat the mags FDE and you're in business. I wonder if there is enough room to go Dissipator style on an M4 profile barrel?

Already have the Alumahyde from Brownells

Ahead of you Russ. The plan is as soon as the rifle length MOE comes out its going on the .22. However I think the FSB might touch the FH. I havent had a rifle length gas system in a while and cant remember the exact length.

I like it. I'm gonna have to build a 22lr, so I can actually afford to shoot it when I'm done with my build.

Thank you.

100% why I wanted it. Running low on 5.56 and got thinking how nice it would be to spend $40 on 1100 rds instead of $200-$400 on 1000.

Love the look of your 22LR upper, mjkeat! No doubt that's the best way to go as it operates so much like a true AR since it has a genuine AR lower.

I also *HAD* to get a .22LR that looked and felt like an AR. Also always wanted an M4 but other barrel profiles make more sense for me in a true AR. And getting a pony and "M4" rollmark for $450, how else are you gonna do it!

No doubt a bit of a gamble going with Colt/Umarex over other options but it's worked out well.
