Put on my magpul CTR stock today! Waiting on a new buffer so I can pin it and then it's good to shoot! I got a forward vertical grip for it too, but I think the guys had it in the wrong box or something because it wouldn't fit

Nobody is competing with it for under $300 in my opinion. Just something to think about for those of you looking for a great $120-200 optic. The $400-800 variety is fine (I have one), but it simply isn't practical for everyone. If that's your predicament, the answer you seek is probably Vortex.

I consider the two Strikefires I have to be 'to hell and back' reliable.
You got good ones. I had to ship mine back for repairs twice before I sold it. Good customer service. I think I just got a lemon.

Have you shot her yet? I'm staring the same build. I know the mag situation is a pain. What did you run for a bolt and hammer spring?

Im starting with a H2 4.0oz buffer I build in my own buffer weights with either lead or tungsten powder depending on what I want for weight , the barrel setup came with a factory 7.62 bolt so we will have to see how that goes " it didnt get good reviews " came with a firing pin but I noticed its not any longer than my normal 5.56 firing pins but it sticks out pretty good , Right now it has a mil spec hammer spring thats had nothing done to it which should provide heavy strikes if not I have a heavier spring , didnt get to go out this afternoon as I had a lunch meeting with a customer today Maybe tomorrow . I will be shooting some video on the outing that I will post up when its done

Sweet thanks! I heard the Colt firing pin is ten thousands of an inch longer, if that helps. I was going to start with a heavier hammer spring and a colt firing pin. I know people have filed down that bak side of the bolt and also the ring on the firing pin to get longer strokes. I don't want to start messing with that. I'm also told that Bushmaster makes a good mag that will feed the 7.62 a little better. I think you said you were waiting on ASC mags, I've heard mixed reviews on them. But I hear they merged with C Products.
