Getting closer to being done...


Essential Arms lower, Surplus Ammo upper, DPMS 16" SS bull barrel, Yankee Hill specter length handguard, AR Stone BCG. Getting a Blackhawk riser and a red dot to mount on it. Going with a Hogue grip similar to what's on the 1911. Then that should be it for awhile.

Does anyone know what length is considered a carbine I have the ruger sr 556 e it's 16.5 inches

Here my sr 556E with Magpul MOE pistol grip with the MIAD bolt and firing pin core,the Magpul MBUS sight, Magpul enhanced trigger guard, Magpul BAD (battery assisted device), two 30rd PMags, and Magpul vertical grip.

I really want an AR that i can build but if this ban goes into affect, im going to have to run to Academy and buy one really fast.

Carbine length is where the gas port location is on the barrel. Here is a guide for you

That is a carbine. Usually any rifle under 20" is considered a carbine.
