Found a couple

Alexander arms has some interesting parts combo's from bolt/barrel to complete uppers
Alexander Arms: Grendel Products
-----------
Another one
AR15BARRELS.COM - Parts

It looks like the grendel MAY use the same bolt/carrier as the 7.62X39???

Gate beat me to them And yes, it seems odd, but the 6.5 Grendel and 7.62x39 use the same bolt.

Might also consider getting the barrel and bolt combo:
Alexander Arms: Grendel Products: 16" Grendel® barrel & bolt combination But it is a 16". Not sure what length you were looking for. From what I've read, 16-18" seems to be optimal?

Not really.

The 6.5 grendel is based on a 6.5ppc which has a brother of the 22ppc and 6ppc which is based on the 220 russian which is based on yes the 7.62x39mm

I didn't even think about it that way.

Is it easier to find parts for a 6.8spc?

Might have to look at a 6mm-223 as well.

Yep..."The case head diameter of the Grendel is the same as that of the parent case the .220 Russian or siblings 7.62 x 39mm and the famous PPC cases, slightly larger than the 5.56x45mm NATO"

You might find more parts for the 6.8, but you'll be giving up the range of the 6.5. That would be the main trade off.

OK after looking I think the 204 Ruger is going to be the chamber.

What about bolts and carriers? Are the gold or chrome ones better than the regular or black ones? What is a good one?

This is what I have not minus a few parts like bolt and carrier and buffer assembly.

Tango,

That list looks pretty darn good to me. As for bolt carrier groups, that is one of the areas I don't skimp on.

I usually go with Young Mfg.
Rainier Arms, LLC™ | Browse | Bolt Carrier Assemblies | Young Mfg Chrome Bolt Carrier Group

Bravo Co.
BCM Bolt Carrier Group MPI Auto M16

BCM Bolt Carrier Group MPI Auto M16

LMT
LMT Bolt Carrier Auto M16

PK Firearms site has a few also:
PK Firearms | Online Store

Lately, I've used mainly Young or Les Baer, but they can get spendy, so it helps to shop.

Hey slow,

What is the reliability factor like on those Young BCGs? I know they are quite expensive compared to others, but is the price worth it? What I mean to say is, are you just paying for a name or are you getting something of better quality than that of a LMT, Bravo, etc BCG?
