I'm looking to get my first AR rifle and I'm trying to get the DL on them .im trying to find the one that would be best for me. I'm a very active shooter I like to shoot 2 to 3 times a week at a min. I'm also a deputy sheriff so I need one that I can count on. I've been looking at the bushmaster carbon 15 and the sig m 400 any

Bushmaster carbon 15 for a duty weapon is a definite NO.


The Sig would be a better choice but they are very new to this type of platform.

I would honestly stick with Colt, BCM, and Daniel Defence, all of which are in the same price range as a Sig M400.

I agree with AT, the C15 would be an insane choice for a duty rifle. Definitely look at his recommendations, down the road you'll be glad you did.

BTW, what does your agency allow and/or recommend? See what they say.

My vote goes towards BCM, PSA, or Colt. I have also heard a lot of good things about Daniel Defense.
