AR in 7-08

My next brain fart, or has it been done. I like the 7-08 round. Wondering what I'm going to get in to trying to get one built. Or is it already out there? Remember I did say brain fart.

Bobby, I whitetail hunt with the 7mm-08 and really enjoy it. As you know, not a lot of felt recoil, (good thing), but falls to the earth at 200 yds.(bad thing). I thought about this also and I just don't know. My dilemma today is I'm trying to decide between ordering a kit in .204 or .223. So many choices, so little money. If you have one, what's your opinion of the .204 in the AR format? HJ

I have shot 4 whitetails in excess of 300 yards with the 7-08. It just doesn't die at 200. I have witnessed on 640 yard one shot kill with one. Weatherby Vanguard 24 inch tube. As for the 223 (cheaper ammo) or 204 I would go with the 223 first, then pick up a 204 with 20 to 24 inch varmit barrel upper to use on my lower. Interchangeability is a great thing here. The 204 is a smoking hot little round.

Bobby, I have a Bushmaster V-Match in .223 but I'm going to do a build and not sure about what cal. I want to go with. I like the .204 probably because I don't reload for that cal. yet.
I'm shooting a T/C Encore in 7mm-08 and can't get that kind of performance out of that round. I'm loading Nozler 140gr.ballistic tips, .008 of the lands with almost a max load of 4895.Two seasons ago I shot at a whitetail across an open field at 275 yds and saw the bullet hit the dirt through the scope right in front of the deer. That T/C shoots quarter size groups at 100 yards, what's your secret? HJ

Remington R25 comes in 7mm08 caliber as well as 308 caliber. I think they are made by Bushmaster but not sure of this.
