AR 22lr?
I'm looking for a 22 rimfire to train with to get familiar with the military style m4. I want to get to know it inside and out so it needs to disassemble the same way so I can clean and field strip it and all that so I'm looking for something that functions EXACTLY the same or as close to it as possible
Thanks Oh yeah I'm new so go easy on me :) |
So buy a rifle that you ultimately want and buy a 22lr kit for it.

Many AR style .22s have very little in common with the weapons they are mimicking. Some are closer than others, but anything designed strictly for .22 LR use will not be set up in the same manner. Blow back vs. DGI, the starting points are just different. It's like trying to get a VW kit car to learn about a Ferrari. There are some similarities, but not many, and they tend to be superficial.

I can't afford to buy a rifle and a kit but that's what I think I have to do

I can shoot a 22 on my range all day, infact people may think I went missing but with a 223. I can't spend the time I need
Any suggestions? |
