ar 15 vs fn 2000
 

Im selling my ar to get a new one. Im on the fence between the yhm 8100 and the fn 2000. Ive handle yhm first hand and liked it ,ause it was so light. Im going to use it for competition shooting. Has anyone handled the fn 2ooo.

I would go rent a FN and try it. I personally would love to own a FN.

bullpups generally have atrocius triggers due to the long linkages needed to make them trip the sear. the location of the magazine and ejection port makes reloading and clearing stoppages difficult at best

ive never handled or fired a bullpup that felt good or had decent ergo or triggers

just my opinion.

I would shoot an AR and the 2000 side by side. Pay attention to the trigger and control as well as the differences while making magazine changes.

I'd pass on the bullpup. Just my opinion, very unnatural feeling.

If Im not mistaken this will be his first go at 3Gun. Good choice but JP might be a little much at this point.
