Default AR-15 Slide Fire stocks

I've been seeing alot of videos and other info about these new Slide Fire stocks. Does anyone know if they are legal in California?

See http://www.firearmstalk.com/forums/f25/everything-slidefire-60197/ for all your slide fire needs.

Spend the money on ammo and a class. Worth a lot more than some gimmick.

Gimmick? No. It does work shot one plenty of times. Would I buy one? No. It's an easy way to waste money just like any full auto gun in my opinion. I would find something else to spend money on, shoot it once and you will then say been there done that now where is all my ammo.

Is anything legal in Kommyfornia? It may be but what other asinine things would you have to put on or take off of your gun to make it so you could use it legaly? Is it considered a collapsible or fixed stock. Then what about going to the range and having to answer a litany of pointed questions every time you decide to "rock and roll".

Unless you have pre-ban mags you will get real good at mag changes. Ten rounds goes fast.

Even if it is legal, will you be taking a ride downtown if you get stopped for a traffic violation while it's in your car because the officer has never seen one? They say "You can beat the rap but you cant beat the ride". I would be willing to bet you'll take the ride.

In your neck of the woods, I would say it's not worth pursuing.

Seriously, not trying to dump on your idea. Just wondering if you have though it through.

I was trying to do my part to keep this sub forum as neat and tidy as possible but to have comments like above floating around is a detriment and disservice to shooters.

The slide fire is a gimmick. In no way does it mimic real full auto fire. That's all I'm going to say. There's a reason JonM combines all the slide fire threads into one heaping pile of stench. If you want to read more follow the supplied link.

Its looks real fun, but its expensive, and will be expensive to feed, and will get old real fast. But please don't buy one in Cali, risking jail time and losing your gun rights is a cost too high to bear.

With a little practice, you can do the same thing with a 50 cent rubber band. The slide fire takes less skill, but not 350 bucks worth. It is a bump fire device, and bump firing is illegal in Kaliphornia. Possession of a rubber band too close to your firearm will get you a trip to lockup, so this stock will get you there faster. Glad I live in KY, where I can stay prepared for the lesbian zombie apocolypse.

Bump firing is not illegal in CA, a device that can simulate multi shot burst are.
