Default AR 15 parts backorders

I was wondering if anyone knew why there is such a shortage of BCG's and uppers in the market right now.

Thank you in advance

mullyb,

I sure do! It is because the rapid demand for complete weapons is back on! The manufacturers are putting the components in complete rifles. With the scare present of the election as well as the thought of SHTF. The market is going crazy once again for the brand name rifles. A good source for parts however is M&A Parts of Lake Zurich IL. where I get a lot of my parts. * Lower Receivers they do not have! But they generally have a mass quantity of everything else in their warehouse and store.

Yeah there's very high demand now, just look at all the new builds and factory rifle purchases described in this forum over the last few months. Heck, I even bought two complete uppers over the summer. I had two lowers and figured I'd better complete them while I still could. One thing different from the panic buying of 2008-9, prices have stayed much lower. Last time I checked PSA had uppers and BCGs in stock. Good luck finding what you want.
