try Brownell's or MidwayUSA.

Or if you can find a 20 rounder at a good price, you can take the floor plate off and put a small block inside to limit it to 5 rounds for hunting. I use 20 rounders at the bench a lot.

Seems like a 20 rounder would be cheaper just about. When you say block what do you put in there

I've used a small piece of scrap wood in mags.

Sub-10rd AR mags are very tough to come by. Even 10rd mags are often tough. There are a lot of really good reasons not to hunt with an AR, and this is chief among them (along with it being such a small caliber). They can be pretty great varmint rifles, however.

A 5.56/.223 AR will always be a great defense/utility/varminting/fun rifle and never a go-to hunting rifle for me...none of which is intended to imply that anyone else need share my opinion.

The simple answer to your question is that somewhere, somehow, you may find what you are looking for. But the AR15/M4 was designed to be a 20-30rd+ capacity gun.

Hate to recommend Cheaper Than Dirt but....5 round Remington mags in stock $28.99. Doc's suggestion might be the best.

i have one 20 round mag i use when bench shooting my AR. the rest are 30 round mags.

if required for hunting, i can see why some would want a 5 round mag.
