Default Ar-15 issue

Can't shoot .223 well. Has cycling issue.
I think maybe a buffer tube spring? It is an Armalite.

What are the symptoms? FTF or FTE?

Thats not really info imfo for anyhelp.

What ammo as in bullet type manufacturer or reload recipe.

Who built the gun and when. Was it a complete gun from armalite did you make it from parts or get it from someone who did. What parts were used. Or did you get it new complete from the factory.

It won't rack another round in. It shoots 5.56 great. Shots the first round of .223. But jams the next round. Doesn't matter what type. I have tried many types.

You really need to describe the problem more, and describe the AR, configuration and ammo.

I think I found the issue. Found a small cracked in the gas tube. About 2 inches from the rear.

You need a new gas tube fortunately they are easy to replace.

Just bought a Windham SRC. Been eyeing these for a while. Haven't heard anything bad about them yet. And I have been doing a lot of research.

Cheap to replace about $15-20 part.
Hate to say, you need to remove the handguard, muzzle brake/ flash hider and the gas block, just to install the new gas block.
