I have colt ,spirit arms and 2 dpms and I think it is dumb luck getting a good one the colt was the worst of the bunch it is now 20 years old but took a year to get running right on those two go with the best deal

The extractor group were all out of spec worked about 10 percent of the time new to the platform in 1993 took forever to see what I was looking at she is golden now with a Wilson barrel is 1/4 MOA all day long

I have three Colts. Two old SP-1 sporters (Full length rifle and CAR-15 carbine) and a newer LE6940.

Never had a single problem of any kind with any of them.

Go for the Smith&Wesson man. Their barrels are made better, they have a better warrantee, and their customer service is light years ahead of Bushmaster.
