I bought a Bushmaster about a year ago. Since then I have done numerous modifications to it, such as a rail, red dot sight, new grips, etc. The next M4/AR-15 will be one I build myself. No problems with the Bushmaster, in fact it's a remarkable rifle. Just need the satisfaction of doing it myself from top to bottom.

Pay more, actually about twice as much as a mid shelf brand but keep it for 20000 rds if you treat it wright. No chrome. Nicorr hard parts treatment is amazing. Plus it eats everything and stays extrordinarily clean and is as accurate as "any" DI gun.
You don't need to spend 2200. Or 2300. They start at 1399.
I'm not informing, just stating.

I'm a LWRC owner. It was actually my first POF. It's a great rifle but I wouldn't do it again. DIs are great, weigh less, and are easier to find replacement parts for. LWRCs have lots of proprietary parts. Best of all you can find a high quality DI AR for under $1K.
I was kinda in the same boat but I ended up at a gun show an just decided to start building my own. I went an got a dpms lower from one table a dpms parts kit at another an shopped around for other parts. Now I just ordered a new cmmg 24 inch upper that I'm waiting on an will end up taking the left over parts an start my next one.
My buddy made his choice and ordered it a few days ago,he went with the Stag Arms 5.56.I'll let you know how he likes it when he gets it and shoots it.
